Stress-free car exporting to Asia

We have been exporting vehicles from the UK since 2015, and more than 5,000 cars have left the country through us in that time. We know what the paperwork takes and where the delays happen.

Asia is one of our best-served regions. Our current schedule carries several hundred upcoming sailings to twelve Asian countries, leaving from Southampton, London Gateway, Felixstowe and Liverpool, with a sea leg that typically runs six to seven weeks. Both options are available on the route: container services carry most of the volume, and pure vehicle carriers run RoRo alongside them.

Everything up to and including the sailing is ours to handle — sourcing the vehicle (including new or VAT-qualifying cars a dealer will sell free of UK VAT for export), collection from anywhere in the UK, customs clearance and the export paperwork. Our export process sets out how a booking runs, and the published rate table shows indicative prices by port.

What the price covers

• Loading and lashing the vehicle into the ship
• UK customs export and clearance
• UK port handling charges
• DVLA documentation and export certification
• Export documentation, including the Bill of Lading
• Posting the original export documents from the UK by UPS or DHL
• Shipping the vehicle from the UK to the destination port

Not included: pre-export inspection where the destination requires one, marine insurance on container shipments, collection or onward delivery, and all import fees in the destination country. Duty, local taxes and registration fees at the far end are set by that country’s government and are paid by the importer, whoever clears the car. We can arrange customs clearance, registration and delivery to your door through a local agent, quoted separately, or work with an agent of your choice.

Extras we can arrange before it sails

These sit outside the shipping price and are quoted separately, and they happen while the car is still with us in the UK.

• Storage in our secure compound while you finalise the paperwork or wait for a sailing
• Paintwork reconditioning, where the car would arrive better for it
• Pre-export inspection, including EAA, where the destination country requires one

Sourcing the vehicle as well

If you have not bought the car yet, we can find it. We buy from UK main dealers, auction houses and private sellers, inspect it and move it straight into the export process — see car sourcing and supply. If you have already found one yourself, we can buy it on your behalf so you are not paying an unknown seller directly.
