About Autonomous Port of Lomé
Lomé, opened in 1968, has 16.6 metres of water, the deepest on the West African coast, and is sheltered by two breakwaters. It handled about 22 million tonnes including 1.2 million containers in 2018 and carries over 80% of Togo's trade. The Lomé Container Terminal (LCT) has a 1,050-metre quay with 16.6 metres of water.
